A Family Owned Contractor, Led by a Master Electrician

Meet Romeo Tamou

Romeo Tamou is the owner of Vortech and the qualifying party on both of the company's Arizona contractor licenses. He is a Master Electrician, which means the electrical side of every job, from a failed capacitor circuit to a full panel change, is planned and checked by someone who has mastered the trade, not handed off to the newest person on the truck.

Before Vortech's name was on the door, Romeo worked in commercial construction as the main supervisor over the commercial electrical work. That job is about more than wiring. It means reading plans, coordinating with other trades, scheduling crews, passing inspections and keeping people safe on busy sites where mistakes are expensive. Those habits carry straight into residential service: a clear scope, clean work and a job that is built to pass inspection.

Romeo has also done custom builds from the ground up. Building from a bare slab teaches things a service technician rarely sees: where the wire and ductwork run inside the walls and ceiling, how load is planned across a whole house, and how the cooling system and the electrical system are meant to fit together. When we add a mini split to a finished home, upgrade a panel for an EV charger or replace a system that has outlived its wiring, that ground up knowledge is why the new work fits the house instead of fighting it.

Why It Matters That He Is Both

Most Arizona AC failures involve both trades. A weak capacitor, an undersized breaker, a corroded disconnect or an overloaded panel can look like a dead air conditioner, and a new air conditioner can overload an old panel. When one family owned company holds the air conditioning license and the electrical license, and the owner is a Master Electrician, the person diagnosing the problem is qualified to fix every part of it. You do not pay for one contractor to blame the other.

What Family Owned Means Here

Vortech is not a franchise and not a call center. It is a local family business based in Peoria, ZIP 85382. Our name is on every job and on every review, so we explain what we find, put the options in writing and recommend a repair when a repair is the right answer.

• Straight diagnosis first, then options, before any work starts
• Electrical work planned and checked by a Master Electrician
• Work done to code and permitted where Arizona and the local jurisdiction require it
• One company for AC, electrical and the places they overlap

Licensed in Both Trades

Vortech Air-Conditioning LLC does business as Vortech Air-Conditioning and Electrical. Both licenses are issued by the Arizona Registrar of Contractors as dual licenses, covering residential and commercial work in their classifications. You can look either one up at roc.az.gov before you hire us, and we encourage it.

• ROC 333515: CR-39 Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (dual)
• ROC 341933: CR-11 Electrical (dual)

Residential and Commercial

Because Romeo supervised commercial electrical work, light commercial properties are a natural fit: small offices, retail, restaurants, clinics and rentals. Homeowners get the same discipline. See our commercial services or browse everything we do.
